Rocky Bowl Party a Success

With the Bobbi Breeze award being presented to Scott "Underworked" Ericksen, 3 Bowl games with dramatic finishes and controversial calls, 20 degree temperatures, good food, good friends, T-Shirts and Rocky's Revenge on Herby Husker, a good time was had by all Rocky Bowlers in attendance.

Underworked finally wins Bobbi Breeze award after 5 years of front loading his entry and losing out during the Rocky Bowl Party.  Ironically, he also remains in the running to win the Toilet Bowl and be the first to hold both trophies in the same year.

Once again, all Rocky Bowlers anticipated the arrival of this years Rocky Bowl Shirts. Thanks to Brady "Our Man" Wiesbeck once again for this awesome treat.  Rumor has it that the Commissioners are working on all expense paid trip to the Rocky Bowl Party next year to deliver the shirts in person.  We would all love to finally meet and thank you in person.

The Clash of Washington and Nebraska for the Rocky Bowl party did not disappoint.  Kevin 'Herbie Husker' Dunkley was out numbered at the party and remained quietly confident through-out.  But in the end, his Huskers obviously overlooked the determined Locker and Huskies and were significantly outplayed.  In the end, Rocky had the last laugh (fittingly) and awaits the rubber match in Lincoln next season.  Kevin was a great sport and wore the sweatshirt of the Purple and Gold for the camera's.  He is still wondering what happened to the Scarlet and Cream on this night.

As expected, the highlight of the evening was the Friends and food of the Rocky Bowl.  Thanks to everyone for participating and donating to the Rocky Bowl Party.  Without you, there would not be an event. RBS Commissioner Violates Personal Conduct Policy ???

The RBS Blog site  has obtained incriminating photos of Rocky "The Good Lookin" Long while allegedly paying off a gambling debt with one of his neighbors.  As most of you know, gambling is strictly prohibited by the Commissioners.  In addition, it appears that when completing the lawn mowing, Rocky made lewd body gestures with his hips in an act of defiance.  

Kevin “Herbie Husker” Dunkley wrote --

Well…Well…Well… Look who lost a bet back in 1997 to neighbor “Herbie Husker” when the NEBRASKA HUSKERS met the UW Puppies. Your RBS Commissioner Rocky (who was still on his lips from the night before) had to mow my lawn in Nebraska colors. This was back when he really was goooooooood looooooooooking.  Bull! 

Hope to see you all at the “Rocky Bowl Party” where the Big Red will tear apart the little puppies in what many agree has been a lame duck season.  Ouch!  Did I say duck? Love you Rocky….

The other 2 RBS commissioners (Doug & Jim) are taking this matter seriously and plan to rebuke the commissioner at tonight’s  Rocky Bowl Party. They are reviewing the pictures &VHS tapes, taking statements from witnesses and collecting all relevant documentation (Cell Phone videos and Texting was not ubiquitous in 1997).  If any long time Rocky Bowlers have details of this incident or any newbies that just want to speculate, please post your statements or comments to this blog.  This will be taken care of publicly on this internet forum.

So, what’s a girl supposed to do when she screws up when she sends in points for the wrong team for her better half?

Kurt totally picked NC State (17 pts) over West Virginia and I transposed that when I emailed his sheet.  As we were looking at the RockyBowl sheet this evening we noticed the oversight.  Help (he is currently not speaking to me)…..I will take a lie detector test and everything.  Wanna see his original sheet so you know I am not making this up? 

Have a heart, it is the Holiday season and all.  It truly was my mistake; I am not just being nice.  Thanks, I now have to sleep in the garage on a piece of cardboard with only a football for a pilow ... ... ... ...

RockyBowl Party

Rockybowlers --

It is time already for planning the Rocky Bowl party.  In just two days you will be dining on Steak, Caesar Salad, Hot Beans and more. As the games do start at 9am this day I will be serving coffee and baileys (thank you scott erickson) for the early arrivers and those coming by over their lunch breaks.  Dinner however will be served before the highlight game of the evening between the Barking Dawgs and the corn husking nebraskians. 

If you have been at the RB party before you know to dress VERY warm and bring your own adult beverage.  We will provide all the food and look forward to seeing you anytime during the day.  The third game of the day begins at 3:40 so lets say that is the official start of the party but I two of the three commissioners will be here all day. Come by to see who will be wearing the yellow jersey at the beginning of the day and who will leave the party wearing it as well as with the Bobby Breeze trophy and $50.00.

Please if you do plan on coming reply so i can plan on the amount of food.  Hope to see you all; and if not, hope you're enjoying the bowling.

PS.  We all regret that Commissioner Doug Greggory will not be at the party but will help bring the Dawgs home with the Holiday Bowl trophy, enjoy the game Blake, Doug and G Chick.
